Nindiya Sharma

Nindiya is an experienced and enthusiastic professional with 20+ years of experience in strategic planning, marketing and communications. She has worked extensively on various diversity and inclusion projects, policies and program development. 

She specializes in leading strategic initiatives, communication plans, stakeholder relationships, digital marketing, media buying and web development. Through her work, education and volunteer experience, she has led various projects and has developed strong competency in applying critical thinking, risk assessment and strategic planning. 

Nindiya arrived in Canada in 2002, and is proud to call PEI her home. She started her professional career by volunteering at United Way of PEI in 2003 and later joined the team as a Marketing Associate. Her volunteer and work experience at United Way has set a strong foundation for her professional career that allows her to give back and support the community. 

She now works as a Advisor, Policy and Programs in Diversity and Inclusion division at Veterans Affairs Canada. Before joining VAC, she worked at the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce, as a Marketing and Special Projects Manager and as a Marketing Manager at Confederation Centre of the Arts for nearly ten years. 

In her spare time, Nindiya loves to get out in nature, enjoy the beaches, travel and gardening. She lives in Charlottetown with her partner, Pam, and her partner’s daughter Bella.
