Hurricane Fiona Response

*Applications are now closed.*

The United Way of PEI is helping the Government of Prince Edward Island provide urgent funding to not-for-profit community organizations to meet the immediate needs of Islanders and PEI communities in the wake of Hurricane Fiona.

Funding will be provided quickly to not-for-profit community organizations that have the capacity to rapidly mobilize staff and volunteers. The goal is to expand the reach of existing organizations into the hands of Individuals who need it most.  Examples of specific ideas include distribution of gas or gift cards, support for prescription pick-up or delivery, elder care visitation and meal support, etc.

All applications will be considered; preference will be given to applications in the range of $5,000 to $15,000. Every effort will be made to review applications within 72 hours.

* This is not individual funding. Call 211 if you need help navigating all other government and community resources to meet your individual needs.

Why The United Way?
The United Way of PEI brings people together to reach those who need help the most. We are streamlining community support and facilitating the capacity of those who have direct contact with the most vulnerable people on PEI -- because we are #StrongerUnited.
