Last year, United Way of PEI assisted over 25,000 Islanders with a focus on breaking the cycle of poverty by ensuring kids are prepared for school, youth develop the skills needed to feel confident and secure, and Islanders of all ages have access to supports and programs that improve their economic status and overall mental health. We do this by mobilizing our community, forging partnerships, and investing in programs best suited to meet PEI’s most critical needs.
Overview of the Position
We are looking to hire an enthusiastic Director of Development to secure financial support for our organization. The Director of Development will set and achieve fundraising goals, maintain knowledge of fundraisers' interests, and cultivate relationships with fellow employees and volunteers. You will be an active participant in fundraising activities, including workplace giving, corporate relationships, individual giving, sponsorship, and planned giving events.The successful applicant will build lasting relationships with donors and keep them informed on how their donations are impacting residents of PEI. Preferred candidates will be self-motived, deadline-driven multitaskers who thrive in securing support for those on Prince Edward Island.

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (35 hrs/wk) however, there may be flexibility in schedule.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day. Some out-of-province and overnight travel may be necessary on occasion (during non-COVID-19 times).
